Situation Overview
Established in 1985, the Gadchiroli District Central Co-operative Bank Ltd. (GDCC) is one of the most technologically advanced banks operating in Gadchiroli — one of India’s most remote and underdeveloped districts. Despite the challenges of serving a largely rural and tribal population, GDCC has consistently pushed to bring modern banking, agricultural credit, and government welfare schemes to communities that traditional banking infrastructure often struggles to reach.

Challenges
Operating in a remote, tribal region brought GDCC a distinct set of challenges:

Limited reach
Large sections of the customer base — particularly farmers and rural communities — could not easily access physical branches

Fragmented reconciliation
Managing transaction data across multiple stakeholders (Switch, NPCI, Sponsor Bank, Cash Dispensers) required a unified way to identify and resolve disputed or unreconciled transactions

Complex agricultural lending needs
Agricultural loans required servicing through Primary Agricultural Societies (PACS), with credit tied to land size, crop type, and harvest cycles — demanding specialised loan ageing, recovery, and interest subvention tracking

Evolving statutory and tax requirements
The bank needed to stay continuously compliant with changing NABARD, RBI, FIU, and Co-operative Department reporting rules, as well as the complete overhaul of India's taxation system with GST in 2017
GDCC needed a technology partner capable of sustaining a long-term, evolving platform — not just a one-time implementation — in an operating environment where infrastructure support is inherently harder to deliver.
Solution Provided
GDCC has been live on TrustBankCBS since 2000, gradually upgrading from a branch automation version to a fully browser-based platform in 2009, unifying all 55 branches on a single system. Trust Fintech was also contracted to commission and maintain GDCC’s Data Center and DR Site, with GDCC becoming the first co-operative bank in a tribal region to establish its own data center on TrustBankCBS.
Over the years, the solution stack expanded to include:
- Retail Banking, Loans, Deposits & Financial Accounting
- Micro Finance Group Lending — automated SHG (Self-Help Group) and JLG (Joint Liability Group) lending, servicing, and repayments through a network of agents and field officers
- Agricultural Loan Products & Kisan Credit Cards — automated agricultural loan schemes, approvals, security documentation, disbursement, and recovery through PACS, with customised mirror accounting for PACS receivables and agricultural loan ledgers, plus complete interest subvention support
- Government of India Social Schemes (APBS, DBTL, PMJJY, PMSBY, APY, PFMS) — enabling direct, manual-intervention-free payment delivery from the Government treasury into customer accounts
- Agency Banking & MicroATM — doorstep banking for rural and tribal customers unable to reach branches, enabling 24×7 real-time collections and merchant payments (e.g., for fertilisers and seeds) through an agent network, with no capital expenditure
- 4-Way Reconciliation — automatic reconciliation of data from Switch, NPCI, Sponsor Bank, and Cash Dispensers based on RRN, with direct CBS posting for unreconciled transactions
- Statutory Compliance Reporting (OSS, ALM, Audit Reports) — powered by an embedded Reports Configurator that maps data to statutory formats, enabling GDCC to adapt quickly to changing regulatory rules
- End-to-End GST Compliance — covering service charge invoicing, GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B returns, expenditure and purchase invoice recording, GSTR-2A reconciliation, and ITC determination, with Trust Fintech acting as a GST Suvidha Provider (GSP) for direct GSTN access
- Mobile Banking, IMPS, M-Passbook, RTGS/NEFT, NACH, Clearing (CTS/ECS), AML Alerts, HRM & Payroll, and Business Intelligence
Trust Fintech’s services extended well beyond software — including Datacenter and DR Center commissioning and maintenance, infrastructure facility management, and facility management for E-lobbies (ATMs, kiosks, and cash recyclers).
